What Is Dental Acupuncture?

DSC00568.JPG

Dental acupuncture focuses on points around the jaw, head, and neck to help relax muscles, improve blood flow, and calm the nervous system. This specialised approach supports the body’s natural relief mechanisms for chronic tension and jaw discomfort.

The Procedure

We begin with a detailed assessment of your jaw and head trigger points. Gentle, sterile needles are placed to release deep-seated tension in the masseter and temporalis muscles and where appropriate, providing a restorative session lasting approximately 15–20 minutes.

Sensations

The process is explained every step of the way. You may feel an initial prick sensation, followed by mild tingling, warmth, heaviness, or pressure. A dull ache in the area typically disappears, leaving you with easing pain and tension in your muscles.

Safety

Restorative safety is our priority. We use only single-use, sterile needles and clinical comfort is prioritised at every step of the treatment process.
