TMJ Disorders (TMJD) & Orofacial Health
Our approach to TMJD and orofacial health includes comprehensive TMJ and orofacial muscle and functional assessment, considering the jaw, tongue, lips, breathing patterns and overall oral function. Where appropriate, care may incorporate massage techniques from TMJ Therapy®, alongside separately qualified approaches including the YTM® Method and dental acupuncture or acupressure. Personalised home-care exercises and self-management advice may also be provided to support treatment goals. Where additional assessment or care is indicated, we work collaboratively and may recommend referral to other healthcare professionals, including dentists, orthodontists, ENT specialists, sleep and airway dental providers, myofunctional therapists, physiotherapists, osteopaths and other appropriate clinicians.
